Ghost Viper marks Thunderbolt Engineering's debut in arena combat. This 1 lb Antweight bot originated from a Fingertech Robotics Viper kit, featuring custom technical modifications.
How does it work?
The Fingertech Viper kit provides an ideal entry point for beginners. Its streamlined yet powerful design features a durable aluminum chassis with integrated mounting ports, dual gear motors for the wheels, and tinyESC speed controllers that efficiently convert radio signals into precise movement. The package includes a 6-channel radio transmitter and tough (but not tough enough?) polycarbonate panels. Customizing your bot is easy—simply integrate a lifter or spinner weapon kit, or invent your own unique battle system with clear, accessible guidance.
What did it cost?
The core Viper kit with radio costs approximately $170 USD. Additional expenses for armor upgrades, spare parts, and tools brought the total build cost for Ghost Viper to roughly $250. This represents an excellent price-to-performance ratio for a competitive entry-level bot.
What do you need?
To build your own Viper, you'll need the kit itself, a LiPo battery (2S or 3S), and a compatible charger.
